SORRY!

Hi, just a quick update to those following our "demon" sculpt. Had to take some time off to get sculptures finished for the Doll and Teddy Bear Artist & Collector Convention in Philly next month. Attempting to get two sets of figures finished: my OZ pieces and Alice in Wonderland set. Here is the Wizard from the oz set.

I am working off the Wicked book for my concept. Adding a touch of steam-punk, a bit of fantasy, and maybe something good will come out of the studio.

Yesterday's sculpt of the lion. Off to the oven for him.

Hope you all have a great day, and that some of us will meet in Philly on May 12-14.
Mark

  5. Mark is the wizard a full body sculpt? And, did you sculpt the chair, because it looks great!

  6. Mark, it's obvious this piece is going to be a major hit at the show. I'm completely blown away with this. The way your mind works is mind boggling to me! I don't think there are words to describe your talent and your imagination! Please show pics when you're finished so those of us who cannot attend the show can see it.

  8. Darel, Thanks for the great comments. The chair is sculpted of Prosculpt over a brass tube form.
Fran, the wings are 14Gauge wire for the bone supports. The wing is glove grade leather stretched over the frame and glued suede to suede sides.
